The Workforce Foundation (WF) is a non-profit and non-partisan organization composed of passionate change-makers. We exist for one singular purpose: To enable government institutional effectiveness and foster the creation of public value.

What Drives Us?
Nigeria has been plagued by systemic failure for far too long. This failure stems from a flawed governance model that prioritizes political interests over the principles of good governance.
As a result, the country has been pushed to its limits and has reached a breaking point. The need to improve government performance has never been greater, urgent, and more compelling.

Our Solution
Helping government run like a high-performing businesss
We firmly believe that government can and should operate with the same discipline, rigor, accountability, and performance orientation that is obtainable in the business sector. We believe that Nigerian citizens should be elevated to the same level and accorded the same honor as shareholders in business organizations. We are convinced that significant changes can be made within the government and its agencies, even in ways that may seem far-reaching, and these changes can lead to substantial improvements in efficiency and performance. Finally, we believe that the time is ripe for this change on a broad front.

How We’re Funded and Governed
The Workforce Foundation receives an annual donation from Workforce Group to fund our core operations and activities that align with our mission. We also partner with a range of other organizations that are deeply committed to making things better for Nigeria and Nigerians. We are a Nigerian-registered foundation that is governed by an 8-member board of trustees who meet quarterly to advise on strategy and provide oversight of our management and finances.
